Cookie Policy
Last updated: 11 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on beeswaxwraps.com.au, what they do, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember things — like what is in your cart or whether you are logged in — and help us understand how the site is used. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags and local storage, which we refer to as cookies in this policy.
First-party cookies are set by our site. Third-party cookies are set by other services we use, such as Google or a payment provider. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them.
The cookies we use
1. Strictly necessary
These make the shop work and cannot be switched off in our systems. They remember the contents of your cart through checkout, keep you logged in to your account, secure form submissions, and support fraud prevention at payment. Set by WordPress, WooCommerce, and our payment providers Stripe and PayPal.
2. Functional
These remember choices you make so the site behaves the way you expect — for example a dismissed notice, a selected variation or print, or your preferences on repeat visits. Turning these off may make parts of the site less convenient.
3. Performance and analytics
These help us understand how visitors find and use the site — which pages are popular, where people drop off, and whether the site is performing well — so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics, deployed through Google Tag Manager. The data is aggregated and used for reporting.
4. Advertising and marketing
These are used to measure the performance of our advertising and, where enabled, to show you relevant ads on other sites and social platforms, including reminders about items left in your cart. They may be set by Google Ads and social advertising platforms through Google Tag Manager. We also use email automation that can record whether you have opened or clicked one of our emails.
5. Third-party embeds
Some pages embed content from other services — for example product videos and Google reviews. Those services may set their own cookies when the content loads. We do not control those cookies; they are governed by the provider’s own privacy and cookie policies.
Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you see what is stored, delete cookies, block third-party cookies, or block cookies entirely. Instructions are in your browser’s help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working. Blocking other categories will not stop you shopping with us.
You can also opt out of specific services:
- Google Analytics — install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Google ad personalisation — adjust your settings at myadcenter.google.com.
- Social platform advertising — use the ad preference settings in your account on each platform.
Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed industry standard for responding to it, so our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the tools we use change. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
